3 Days in Ibiza: How to spend the best weekend ever!

With this itinerary you will get a mix of cultural sites, beautiful beaches, the best gastronomy and a little bit of party time, too!

Before your trip

There are 3 things you should do before arriving to Ibiza:

Firstly, make a rental car reservation. Don’t be surprised if you arrive to Ibiza and there’s no cars available! In high season there’s a big demand, so do this well in advance. Do it now on Centauro Rent a Car with the code INDMRL15 to get a special 15% discount. I’ve been using their brand new cars every summer and I absolutely love them!

Secondly, make sure to make your restaurant bookings well in advance and with that I even mean weeks! Otherwise finding a empty spot in a restaurant is a impossible mission. Believe me, I’ve been there!

Lastly, of course you need to book your accommodation in advance as well! Prices go astronomically up during peak season.

Day 1: A Friday well spent

Friday Morning

A trip to Ibiza should start in Old Town, with a visit to Dalt Vila and its charming alleys. Did you know it’s a UNESCO site?  Make sure to go all the way up to the castle and take some water with you as it can get really hot!

Friday lunch

After this cultural visit, it’s time to have lunch! These are my recommended options depending on your preferences:

  • Looking for a romantic restaurant? Stay in Ibiza Town and enjoy a lunch with a view to Dalt Vila from the Marina at Calma Ibiza.
  • Do you want to have fun? Head to Platja d’en Bossa and have a glorious lunch at a beach club. I can highly recommend The Beach at Ushuaia and The Beach at Hard Rock Ibiza: beautiful gastronomy, the best music and so much fun!

Friday afternoon

To continue the fun, you have a few options!

  • Go to Ses Salines for some beach time and cocktails.
  • Head to San Antonio area to practice water activities: from swimming to snorkeling or paddle-boarding…
  • Just want to party? Head to Blue Marlin in Cala Jondal.

Friday night

You can definitely stay in any of the previously recommended places for sunset & dinner, however, as you’re staying in Ibiza for a limited time, I’d recommend you going to Cala Comte for sunset. You can have a dinner with a view at the legendary Sunset Ashram!

Day 2: A bohemian Saturday

Saturday morning

We start our Saturday visiting the hippy market Las Dalias in Santa Eulalia. It’s such a touristy spot but it’s totally worth it!

Saturday lunch

You can also have lunch at Las Dalias, but I’d recommend you coming back again to the west of the island and enjoy a paella with a view to Es Vedra at Es Boldado at Cala D’hort.

Saturday afternoon

After lunch, you have 2 options:

  • Burn the calories hiking to Torre des Savinar, an old watchtower with incredible views. If you choose this option you can stay here until sunset!
  • Do it the Spaniard way and have a siesta at the beach. You can definitely have some beach time & siesta at Cala D’hort which is really close to the best sunset spot in the island.

Saturday night

Are you ready for the most magical sunset? Just type “Mirador Es Vedra” in Google Maps. You will need to park near the road and go walking to the cliff. I promise it’s absolutely magical!

Day 3: Lazy Sunday by the beach

Sunday morning

If you’re visiting in high season and want to go to any of the famous beaches, make sure to go there as early as possible… and believe me, it’s never too early!

Some of the most famous ones are Cala Salada, Cala Tarida, Cala Bassa… choose the one you feel like!

Sunday lunch

Most beaches have a beach club or a “chiringuito” with a view and the best beach vibes.

Sunday afternoon

As your time in the island is tight and most beaches are close by, I’d recommend you visiting a different one in the afternoon. Or even better, you can join a boat tour to do beach hopping!

Sunday night

  • If you want to enjoy the famous hippy sunset at Benirras beach, make sure to show up there early. After some the parking is full, you won’t be allowed to get to the beach!
  • If you prefer a romantic dinner with a sunset view, then I recommend booking at the Eden restaurant at Hacienda Na Xamena, one of the best 5* hotels in the island. Totally worth it!
