Celebrity Cruises: Celebrity Ascent Review

Celebrity Ascent is the fourth vessel in Celebrity Cruises’ Edge Class of ships, following the launch of Celebrity Beyond. The ship is the same length as Celebrity Beyond and includes an extra deck.

Celebrity Ascent delivers an elevated cruise experience for guests, luxurious and chic with a capacity of 3,260 passengers led by co-captains Dimitrios and Tasos Kafetzis.

On this article you will find an honest review of our experience onboard Celebrity Ascent.

Things to do on Celebrity Ascent

Celebrity Ascent feels like Celebrity Beyond had a glow up. They’re quite similar, but Celebrity Ascent feels more artsy, with colorful corners in different parts of the vessel.

I absolutely loved the octopus sculpture designed by Todd Lyndon Stuart and the colorful Sunset Bar designed by Nate Berkus.

Staterooms at Celebrity Ascent

Celebrity Beyond features spacious staterooms and suites, each designed with a modern and elegant aesthetic.

The ship offers luxurious accommodations, including the Edge Stateroom with Infinite Veranda, which seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living spaces, and the iconic Edge Villas, which feature two stories of windows, a private plunge pool, and a personal butler.

Restaurants and Bars at Celebrity Ascent

The brand new Celebrity Ascent has over 50 restaurants and bars onboard, meaning a wonderful culinary journey.

The food is really great throughout the entire ship with tons of variety especially in the buffet area.

These are the 4 main restaurants:

  • Cyprus
  • Cosmopolitan
  • Tuscan
  • Normandie

These are the beautiful specialty restaurants that can be found onboard:

  • Le Voyage by chef Daniel Boulud – The Retreat exclusive
  • Luminae
  • Fine Cut Steakhouse
  • Le Grand Bistro
  • Le Petit Chef – a cute interactive dinner experience
  • Raw on 5
  • Rooftop Garden Grill
  • The Magic Carpet
  • Eden Restaurant

Celebrity Ascent entertainment onboard

Celebrity Ascent offers 3 new shows at The Theatre that should’t be missed: Bridges, Awaken and Residency.

Wonder at Eden offers also 3 new shows: Allure, Dreams and Shimmerbox.

Celebrity Ascent Inaugural Cruise Event in the Caribbean

We got to experience Celebrity Ascent before anyone else in their inaugural cruise event!

We set sail from Fort Lauderdale for 3 days in the Caribbean. We stayed at The Retreat which is where the best staterooms are and we had dinner at Luminae, the exclusive restaurant at the Retreat. The experience was amazing!

We actually didn’t stop anywhere in the Caribbean but we didn’t have time to get bored onboard. There was always something to do: exploring the areas, having a dip in any of the pools, having cocktails at the Sunset Bar, enjoying the shows at the Theatre or dancing at the Shine the Night party.

To sum up, the inaugural sail offered a glimpse into Celebrity’s luxury travel, showcasing the innovation, elegance, and attention to detail that will make this new cruise ship a must-see for travelers seeking an unforgettable experience at sea.

Can’t wait to experience it again!
