Porto is, undoubtedly, one of the cities I’ve visited the most, even when I was a kid.
I love to go several times a year and I never get tired of it. Every visit, I try to stay at different properties, but there are some that are just too amazing that I need to visit more than once. In Porto, that happened with Flattered apartments. A building located in Foz de Douro, the upscale neighborhood of the city, right in front of the beach.
The first time I stayed here was winter time, but I’ve recently stayed here again in the summer and it was amazing! Let me show you why I love it.

Staying at Flattered Apartments in Foz do Douro
This time we wanted to explore Porto from a different perspective, so we chose to sleep in Foz do Douro instead than Porto Old Town. We stayed 2 nights in Flattered Apartments to fully enjoy one of their fabulous apartments with a view over the sea.
Location
The location of these apartments is perfect, in the seaside, just steps away from the castle, the lighthouses, and the beach. You can’t hear any noises inside the property unless you open the windows, and if you do so, you’ll just hear the sound of the waves.
As you can imagine, the view is truly wonderful.
About Flattered apartments
I have stayed at Flattered apartments in 2 different occasions, in 2 different apartments with a view to the sea.
The apartments are new and really spacious, with an exquisite decor, with plants, fresh flowers and books.
We felt very warm-welcomed with a delicious cake, fruits and a bottle of Tawny Porto wine: we felt at home in a minute! Honestly, I wish my home looked like this. They have put a special effort in the decor.
Last time we stayed here in the summer, so we enjoyed the sunset sipping wine and having a delicious dinner with the best view. It was a duplex with the bedroom and bathroom on the top floor and one hidden bed under the dining area. Loved it!
Another great thing these apartments have is that they hide extra beds in case you’re traveling as a family or a group of friends.
Breakfast
Breakfast at Flattered apartments is always amazing.
You get to pick your order via WhatsApp the day before, and it’s delivered in a basket at your door. I love how they bring natas!
My honest review
The location is wonderful, the views are amazing, and the design and decor are my thing!
Miguel and Natalia, the owners, treated us with so much love, making our stay truly memorable. I can highly recommend these apartments: I’ve been to the ones located in Porto but they’re also in Lisboa and Tomar. I will come back one day!
