Trocadéro

The most instagrammable spot in Paris, with one of the best views to Eiffel Tower is definitely Trocadéro: everywhere is picture perfect around this area!

There are a few spots to take pictures that you shouldn’t miss:

  • Trocadero Square
  • Staircase
  • Trocadero Gardens
  • Fountains
  • The carousel near Av. NY
  • The cherry tree (if you’re visiting in April)
Tip: visit Trocadero for sunrise on a weekday to enjoy it to the fullest, with the most amazing colors and less people. Spring time is the best time to visit Paris.

The carousel

Avenue des Nations Unies

In between Trocadero Gardens and Eiffel Tower you can find this carousel that has become insta-famous thanks to its beautiful location – this perfect photo composition is hard to miss!

Champs de Mars

Champs de Mars is one of the best places to photograph the Eiffel Tower. It’s especially beautiful in spring, when the magnolia and cherry trees bloom and work as perfect framings for the Iron Lady.

Notre Dame

6 Parvis Notre-Dame – Pl. Jean-Paul II

More than a cathedral! Notre Dame is the heart of Paris, a symbol for France, the most visited building, and a Gothic jewel.

After the fire in April 2019 is not possible to visit the top of the cathedral anymore.

Quais de la Seine

Port Debilly

Nothing more romantic than walking along the Seine. It’s beautiful! If you can, go on a cruise on the Seine river for an unforgettable experience – I’d suggest you doing it at night to see Paris lighten up!

The one pictured below is located at Port Debilly, not far from Trocadero.

Arc de Triomphe

Do not forget to get yourself a shot at the Place Arc de Triomphe, one of Paris’ most iconic landmarks right next to Champs Elysées.

If you can, make time to visit the rooftop to enjoy one of the best views of Paris.

Palais Royal – Les colonnes de Buren

Palais Royal features several spots, too.

Do not miss the garden – it looks especially beautiful during spring!

One of the most famous instagram spots in Paris is Les Deux Plateaux – also known as Les colonnes de Buren. It’s a permanent exhibition with 260 columns of Carrara marble with black and white stripes forming some kind of checkerboard… an invitation to play. Enjoy this place!

Tip:
If you don’t have one, buy yourself a beret! There is nothing more parisienne and you will see many real Parisian women wearing it. You can find them even in the souvenir shops.

Le Jardin du Palais Royal

The gardens at Palais Royal are also really pretty and photogenic. It’s one of my favorite places to go see the magnolia trees in bloom!

Petit Palais

Paris is literally door paradise! There are too many beautiful doors and the most incredible one is located at Petit Palais, the museum of fine arts. Its permanent exhibition is free and the interior garden well worths a visit, especially during spring when its blessed with cherry blossoms. Do not miss this museum when in Paris!

Tip if you’re planning to take a picture in from of Petit Palais, plan your visit before opening times (it opens at 10am) or in Mondays, when it’s closed.

La Maison Rose

Another cute spot in Montmartre: La Maison Rose! This cute pink building is insta famous – we can understand that after visiting it, too!

If you don’t want to miss any beautiful corner in Montmartre while learning about its history, book this walking tour in advance!

Au Vieux Paris

Founded in 1512, this café is located in one of the oldest buildings in Paris. I encourage you to visit the inside and have at least a coffee. They were super nice to us! And unexpectedly, it was not as busy as I could have imagined.

Plus, it gets extremely beautiful when the wisteria starts blooming in late April and early May. Highly recommended when in Paris!

Place Vendome

Place Vendome is one of the most luxurious squares in Paris, with the famous Hotel Ritz and the most exclusive shops and jewelleries in the city. Beautiful buildings (and doors) surround the Vendome column.

Tip:
if you visit Paris at Christmas, do not miss this area! The boutiques from big brands like Louis Vuitton feature beautiful decorations for the holidays.

Rue Crémieux

This pastel colored alley looks like it was made for Instagram. Each house is painted in a different pastel colors and all of them have plants, flowers and bikes on the outside.

Tip:
This street is far away from the tourist areas so it’s not the best idea if you don’t have plenty of time in the city. Also, always remember that this is an area where real people have their homes, so remember to stay quiet and respect the neighbors privacy.

Arc de Triomphe du Caroussel

Place du Caroussel

This arch, located nearby Louvre museum, is half the size of Arc de Triomphe. It’s the best place to see how this arch is perfectly aligned with the obelisk at Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées.

The light coming through is especially gorgeous during sunrise.

Parc de René-Viviani

25 Quai de Montebello

I discovered this hidden gem thanks to my friend Marina. Even though I passed in front of this tiny park many times, I never realized it existed! It’s always quiet and it has a beautiful view to Notre Dame, especially in spring.

Rue Saint Julien Le Pauvre

Rue Saint Michel Le Pauvre

Odette café and these cute little houses in the heart of Paris look like the movie set for a Disney movie. It’s especially pretty during spring with the tree in bloom.

BNF Richelieu

58 Rue de Richelieu

Can you imagine a prettier place to study than this majestic library? BNF Richelieu has been opened to the public after years of restoration and it’s a pretty magical place.

If you’re visiting here, remember to stay in silence!

A pretty pink building

Rue Lagrange

This cute little building caught my attention from the first time I’ve visited. Isn’t it beautiful?

The flatiron building with cherry blossoms

119 Rue Réaumur

If you’re visiting Paris in spring, you may want to visit all the hotspots with cherry blossoms.

If you wonder where the insta-famous flatiron building in Paris is located, search no more. Now you can find the exact location of the Chambre Syndicale on the map. Do not miss it when visiting here!

A room with a view

A visit to Paris will always be more special if you wake up in a room with a view to the Eiffel Tower.

Try to make this happen at least for one night as it’s a romantic and unforgettable experience. One of the most amazing views is the one from Mandarin Oriental at rue Saint Honoré.

Check here rates and availability.

Disneyland

If you have more than a couple of days in Paris do not miss the opportunity to  spend a full day at Disneyland: the happiest place on Earth!

Buy yourself some Minnie ears, hop on all the attractions – Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain is my recommendation if you want some adrenaline-rush activity – and of course, don’t miss the final parade and the light show at the end of the day!

Click here to book your ticket in advance with a discount.

Tip:
take the train to Disneyland at sunrise to get there as early as possible so you can enjoy the Pink castle without a gazillion people around you. This way you’ll get to enjoy much more time in the park 🙂

Tips for perfect pictures when in Paris

Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and because of that, it’s always busy.

If you’re planning a photo trip to the city of Love, here are the things you need to keep in mind:

Pack a bag of patience

Insta-famous places are usually busy, so in order to get the money shot you will usually have to wait. Ahh, that’s the magic of photography, isn’t it?

Be ready to get up for sunrise

Sunrises in Paris are truly magical and they really worth waking up for them. The light is prettier and the places are mostly empty – it makes you enjoy the places with a different vibe!

Make the most out of each day

I recommend you buying a Carte Navigo to go easily from one spot to the other. They’re especially convenient as they include transportation from/to Charles de Gaule and Orly airports. You can buy them at the kiosks located in the airports and at every metro station.

Sometimes Uber can be the most convenient option. For example, getting from central Paris to Orly is around 25€ only: deal!

Plan your itinerary wisely

Avoid weekends as much as possible, as Paris is a typical weekend escape for European travelers. The combo weekday + sunrise is perfect!

Always check closing times and days. Louvre closes on Tuesdays, and Petit Palais closes on Mondays. If you’re planning to visit, avoid these days – however they’re the best choices if you plan to photograph, as there will be less people around these areas.

Shop the look

All the locations in the map

To be honest, everywhere in Paris is picture perfect, so do not stress out trying to cover everything – it could take you a whole life! Everywhere is extremely beautiful so don’t forget to put the camera away some times and enjoy!
