Where to stay in Marrakech: riads and hotels – tried and tested

Marrakech offers many accommodation options, for all type of travelers. Every riad and hotel has its own charm, so it can be tricky to choose the best option.

On this article I’ll be sharing the riads and hotels in Marrakech we have stayed at that we can recommend.

Take into account that some riads are located in alleyways that might seem dangerous or intimidating, even the entrances might look humble from the outside. All of the riads I’m sharing below are located in nice areas that are not dangerous.

Before your trip

Besides accommodation, I’d highly recommend booking the following in advance:

Check the information below before your trip to Morocco:

The best riads in Marrakech

Pure House Marrakech: the most stylish riad in Marrakech

Pure House Marrakech is a gorgeous riad, located just a few minutes from the main square. If I could have a home in Marrakech, it would be exactly like this. It feels like a mix of Morocco, Ibiza and Greece!

Reasons why we recommend Pure House Marrakech:

  • Great location: steps away from Jemaa el-Fna square
  • Beautiful decor and style
  • Amazing bedding – you will sleep like a baby after walking all day long!
  • Gorgeous rooftop with a small pool
  • Delicious breakfast

Demeures d’Orient: the most romantic riad in Marrakech

Demeures d’Orient is a beautiful riad in the heart of the Medina. It’s probably one of the most beautiful ones you could ever find in Marrakech.

I absolutely recommend it if you’re on a romantic getaway, or even for honeymooners.

Reasons why we recommend Demeures d’Orient:

  • It feels like a palace, all covered in marble
  • The rooms are very comfortable and spacious
  • It’s really romantic, with fresh roses every day and candles every night
  • They have a big swimming pool which is not common at riads
  • The rooftop is amazing, with a nice view to the Koutubia
  • It has a wonderful spa / hammam area

Riad Bindoo & Spa: the best value for the money in Marrakech

Riad Bindoo is an amazing property in blue colors. I highly recommend it if you’re looking to stay in a nice riad in Marrakech without breaking the bank.

Reasons why we recommend Riad Bindoo:

  • If you like the color blue, this place is for you!

Riad Tarabel: a riad full of antiquities in Marrakech

Riad Tarabel is a unique riad in the heart of the Medina, located in a nice area.

If you’re into art and antiquities, this place is for you. It feels like you’ve stepped into a painting.

Reasons why we recommend Riad Tarabel:

  • Great location in a quiet area of the Medina, but very close to Hammam de la Rose, Le Jardin restaurant and Atay rooftop bar
  • Incredible decor including a selection of antiquities and miniatures
  • Relaxing pool
  • Quiet rooftop
  • Amazing staff: they’re cleaning the common areas non-stop
  • It’s a real work of art!

Ksar Kasbah & Spa: the riad with the best rooftop in Marrakech

Ksar Kasbah is one of my favorite riads in Marrakech.

I love everything about it from the pool to the suites and the lovely food. The rooftop is in my opinion, the best in all Marrakech.

Reasons why we recommend Ryad Dyor:

  • Nice decor
  • Relaxing Pool
  • Beautiful rooftop
  • Spa treatments
  • Amazing staff

Riad Nejma Lounge: an affordable option in a quiet area

Riad Nejma is a fantastic option if you’re looking for an affordable option and to avoid getting lost in the souks.

Reasons why we recommend Riad Nejma Lounge:

  • Conveniently located in a quiet area of the Medina, but steps away from the main street
  • Quiet rooftop
